The name of this texture pack explains it all. It takes you beautiful Minecraft world and makes it look like a fallout wasteland. An overview:

You can say a lot about this texture pack, but it certainly is very creative. The blocks below are whool blocks by the way:

The HD Silent Hill Texture Pack made by Xuchilbara. I think it’s based on the game Silent Hill although I have to admit I never played that game. An overview:

Today’s texture pack of the day is the 16x texture pack made by jolicouer, is called Jolicraft. An overview:

It’s a pretty good 16x texture pack (in my opinion at least). There also new mobs skins:

Originally made by Doku and now continued by the community, Dokucraft is a 32x texture pack that comes in three different versions. There is a light, a high and a dark version. There is also a Halloween version and two other version of some kind.

ClayCraft is a texture pack made by Dableo. It attempts to give Minecraft a look as if it was made out of clay. Most blocks and icons have been altered. An overview:

Mobs have also been altered and personally: I like their new look.

I really do like the new icons in this texture pack.

Viking Realistic Pack (made by Minecraft user gameweb) is a 256x texture pack. It is realistic, but not modern. Instead it’s more kind of viking/medieval style:

Bidelle’s Coldstone Pack is a 64x texture pack, of course made by Bidelle. The texture pack gives minecraft a somewhat cooler feel. Overview:

Unfortunately, the texture pack doesn’t make (most of) the mobs any cooler.

The blocks in general have a cooler feeling, although I think that the sugar cane is a little bit over the top.

Good Morning Craft is a 16x texture pack made by Whiskers. It gives Minecraft a whole new experience.

LegoCraft was initially developed by Benjaminister, but it was later taken over by user MrBrentX. The name pretty much explains the content of the texture pack: It’s a lego-styled texture pack. An overview:

KayneCraft is a texture pack, developed by ThadiusKayne and available in both 64x and 128x version. The texture pack is aiming for a comic style theme. I think it delivers, and the texture pack gives Minecraft a somewhat different feel to it when I’m playing. Lets look at all the blocks:

I especially like the edit that ThadiusKayne made to the flint and steel, now appearing as a lighter.

Unfortunately, the textures of mobs and paintings by example, are yet to be modified.

This 16x texture pack is made by Tom Carroll (also known as ShortStuf7). The goal of his texture pack is to make the standard textures in Minecraft look more styled and graphically clean. 

Most (if not all) blocks have been made to look nicer. Yet, they are still very comparable to the original textures. So, if you like the default texture pack of Minecraft, you will definitely like this Clean Design Pack from ShortStuf7.

Misa’s Realistic Texture Pack is a 64x64 texture pack made by… well, Misa. It is the first texture pack that uses the newest feature of MCPatcher, allowing for customization of many colors in the game, including swamps, lighting and more.

This new feature is immediately noticeble. Look at the more gradual transition between normal water and swamp water below. Upper image is default texture pack, the one below is Misa’s texture pack:

Another thing I like about this texture pack is the fact that lots of blocks are animating, take by example the dispenser (click to see):

The texture pack also support another feature of MCPatcher, called ‘Random Mobs’. This means that when multiple instances of the same mob spawn, they will all have a different texture. Check out the cows and pigs below for example:

Ovo’s Rustic texture pack for Minecraft was initially developed by a user named Ovo. Unfortunately, he stopped with the development of the texture pack and now the community has taken over. 

The texture pack looks pretty neat. 

The texture pack isn’t finished and, although most blocks have a new texture, a lot of the icons are yet to be modified. 

Most mobs still look the same as in the default texture pack. Some mobs (like the chicken below) have been altered however.
